Pinoy Adobo ala Marco Polo |
Discover why Marco Polo Plaza is Cebu City's Finest. They've introduced their Signature Six Collection that continues the tradition of creativity and excellence which the International Hotel is known for.
Numbers have always played a part in stories about adventures and discoveries.
Dumas wrote about gallantry in 'The Three Musketeers'; Kurosawa helmed the classic film, 'The Seven Samurai'; Verne inspired generations of explorers with his book, '20,000 Leagues Under the Sea'; And Columbus famously reached the New World with 3 ships (Niña, Pinta, and Santa Maria).
The legendary Medieval explorer of the Far East, Marco Polo, traveled with his father and uncle (Niccolo and Maffeo) for 24 years before heading back home to Venice. They brought with them a cornucopia of knowledge and discoveries that astounded the Western World.
So, it is not surprising that Marco Polo Plaza Cebu would name their homegrown collection as the Signature Six. It's a food adventure that would bring you back again and again to Marco Polo Plaza.
The hotel has the distinction of providing mouth-watering and appetizing food that continues to awe guests and customers alike. Their food menu is never boring. The Signature Six is a hodge-podge of flavors that pay homage to the spirit of Marco Polo. The fusion of styles, spices, ingredients, and tastes are something that you can enjoy at the Lobby Lounge or at Cafe Marco.
An awakening of the senses awaits at the Marco Polo Plaza Cebu.
Earl Grape Iced Tea
A play on the classic Earl Grey Tea. The refreshingly cold drink combines elderflower syrup, seedless green grapes, and the essence of the tea. It is served with that sweet dessert, Turkish Delight, to enhance your experience.

Malicious Cookies
These gooey and soft choco-chip cookies are what I always have on my dessert plate whenever I dine at Cafe Marco. Perfect with your coffee or Earl Grape Iced Tea or any beverage of your choice. I would love to have these munchies all the time.
Silk Road Iced Coffee
Named after the trade route that Marco Polo famously traveled on his way to China, the hotel's version is something that would tickle your taste buds.
Overnight-infused coffee flavored with cinnamon syrup and milk. The blended iced frapuccino is topped with generous amounts of marshmallow and Italian meringue. It's best enjoyed with the warm S'mores served with it.
Mango Cheesecake
It won't be Cebu if there's no treat made with Mangoes. Marco Polo Plaza's cheesecake is topped with luscious Cebu mangoes that give it a tangy taste. The sweet and creamy texture is complemented by the crunchy crushed chocolate chip cookie base.
Adobo
The Signature Six dish that took my heart and tummy away. I can only speculate on how they cook their Adobo. Marco Polo Cebu's Adobo is one of the best versions I have ever had. It's served daily at Cafe Marco during the lunch and dinner buffets. It truly is a celebration of Filipino gastronomy.
These Signature Six should convince you to head on over to Marco Polo Plaza and be your own food explorer.
