I admit that I just started being interested with the whole Game of Thrones universe, January of this year, and I'm definitely hooked!
I did a marathon of all the episodes from Season 1-3 in one week...and I can't wait for April 6! It's the premiere episode of Season 4.
I don't know what happened and why I became a fan of Game of Thrones since I was able to watch a couple of episodes before, it was interesting and that made me watch the first episode of season 1. But seeing all the snow and the man dragging himself to survive at the start was not appealing to me, so, I shelved the series.
Last December, I was reading an article about the different HBO series and there was a synopsis on "Game of Thrones". How George RR Martin got inspiration from English History particularly the War of the Roses era and that piqued my interest again. You see, I'm a major History buff especially anything that deals with British Monarchy.
So, I again decided to give it a try. It helps that my roommate was with me because she definitely urged me to continue watching the series. And I never regretted that decision...hehehe.
I love the entire cast. Casting is pure genius! Sean Bean will forever be a tortured hero for me...My favorite characters are Tyrion Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow. And I know from my friends who have read the book series, they'll be playing more pivotal roles in future episodes.
Now what I'm doing is reading the books along with anticipating what's going to happen in Season 4. I'm still on book 1 of A Song of Ice and Fire Series which is "A Game of Thrones".
I'll keep you all updated once Season 4 starts and what progress is in terms of the books.
